My grandmother, Sheila Newton, passed away peacefully on June 3 after a long battle with dementia. I will always remember her vitality, generosity, and love. She studied and loved the natural world and passed her love on to her children and grandchil

Dusk and Dawn Maternity Session

July 03, 2017

Back in April, Rebecca and I took a little 'babymoon' to Asheville and Brevard, NC. While staying at a fantastic AirBnb in Marshall, NC, we decided to try a 2-part maternity shoot:  photos at dusk and photos at dawn. The light was so unbelievable that I couldn't stop blathering on and on about how beautiful it all was. But the star of the show was undoubtedly Rebecca. She knew exactly what to do for each shot and is effortlessly beautiful in all types of light and terrain. With our due date a mere 2 weeks away, I had a lot of fun editing these and looking forward to seeing my favorite person ever become a mom.
